Madeline Tinson\u00a0 lives within the city of Perth but few have visited this hidden treasure at Parkhead\u00a0 Gardens, Burghmuir Road. She and her husband moved into the property in 1982 but it was some time after that that Madeline started accumulating Mylnefield lilies. She had been enthralled with these rare delicate but tough blooms on a visit to\u00a0 Branklyn Gardens. They are often referred to as the North Lily as they were locally bred to suit the Scottish climate. Since becoming fascinated with them she and has gathered so many named varieties that she has been accredited with holding the national collection.<\/p>\n
