There was an excellent turnout from both the RHS of P, who hosted the evening, and the Perth Fuchsia group who supported the first talk of the year. Julia Cordon from the Scottish Rock Garden Club displayed her vast experience in this field by offering a demonstration of the conditions alpines thrive in followed by a slide show on the native habitats of some of the rarest specimens worldwide that she has been lucky enough to see. Her final question and answer session was practical and knowledgeable. What a superb evening followed, of course, by coffee and cakes!!!!!!!!!!
