Thursday 12th September is the date for our next group garden visit.
Madeline Tinson lives within the city of Perth but few have visited this hidden treasure at Parkhead Gardens, Burghmuir Road. She and her husband moved into the property in 1982 but it was some time after that that Madeline started accumulating Mylnefield lilies. She had been enthralled with these rare delicate but tough blooms on a visit to Branklyn Gardens. They are often referred to as the North Lily as they were locally bred to suit the Scottish climate. Since becoming fascinated with them she and has gathered so many named varieties that she has been accredited with holding the national collection.
Those of you interested in this unusual garden please make your own way by 2.30pm ready with £5 entry
