Choose a cool light site to start chitting main crop potatoes.

Early varieties that have developed good sprouts can be potted up now. Place compost a third of the way up a potato bag . Place three potatoes well spaced out. Cover with compost. Water well. When they emerge in a couple of weeks again cover with compost. Keep doing this over the coming weeks until the potato shaw is showing at the top of the bag. They should be ready for an early crop to be harvested in July!
