Last September nineteen members attended a bulb workshop each being given six “British Gamble” daffodils and instructions on how to encourage the daffodils to bloom for the show date.

The task this year was particularly difficult , even for the most experienced , as members had to trick the bulbs into earlier flowering than their normal season.

Undeterred by the cancellation of the show, photos of the pots in bloom were submitted on Saturday to create the society’s first virtual competition in its two hundred year old history. Here are the results.
